Compliance research

The Coalition Government has promised to reduce regulation and the impact it has on businesses introducing a one-in, one-out system alongside sunset clauses for new regulations.

At ORC International we have an extensive track record in conducting administrative burden and compliance research on behalf of other government departments and agencies like HSE, NAO, BIS and HMRC, concerning both legal and regulatory compliance.

Drawing on our track record of over 30 years business-to-business (B2B) research experience, we have a clear understanding of how to consult most effectively with business audiences in relation to compliance issues, and importantly how to gather accurate and honest responses from business managers and owners.

We have a highly experienced team of specialist public sector researchers and in-house statisticians with a background in conducting compliance research and assessing the burden of regulation on businesses. For quantitative telephone studies we use our specialist executive interviewing team who are experienced in conducting compliance and regulatory research for government organisations. Drawn from our most experienced and capable telephone agents, these interviewers specialise in B2B interviewing and recruitment and are able to create the right "peer to peer" environment, in which depth and insight can be obtained from the responses and comments gathered during the interview.
